In fact, he has co-authored a book titled “Death on the Tarmac: Forensic Analysis of the Assassination of Senator Benigno Aquino Jr.” This publication, released in August 2009, explores the forensic analysis that led to the exoneration, granting of executive clemency, and eventual release of 12 soldiers who had been wrongly incarcerated for 26 years. Moreover, Erfe’s forensic analysis confirmed the pronouncement of former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. that Rolando Galman, not Sgt. Rogelio Moreno, was the assassin.
One of Erfe’s most significant contributions as a forensic analyst was in the Vizconde massacre case, which was submitted to the Supreme Court in December 2010. His expertise and meticulous analysis played a crucial role in the pursuit of justice for the victims. The forensic evidence presented by Erfe helped shed light on the truth and bring closure to a case that had gripped the nation for years.
