Police are currently on the lookout for an unidentified drug peddler who managed to escape a police chase, leaving behind a bag containing 1,587 narcotic pills. According to security sources, the incident took place on the Salmi Highway when a Jahra police patrol became suspicious of a motorist driving a four-wheel drive at an incredibly high speed.
Upon signaling the driver to stop, the suspect accelerated and evaded capture, ultimately throwing the bag out of the car window. Despite the escape, the police have obtained the plate number of the vehicle and have circulated it to all police patrols and the Directorate-General for Drugs Control personnel.
Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the drug peddler responsible for this incident. The police are determined to bring him to justice and prevent the distribution of these dangerous narcotics.
