In the latest Tugon ng Masa survey conducted by OCTA Research from December 10 to 14, 2023, Deputy Majority Leader and ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo emerged as the preferred candidate for senator if the 2025 senatorial elections were held today. The survey, which had 1,200 adult respondents and a margin of error of ±3 percent, provides valuable insights into the preferences of the Filipino electorate.
When asked, “If the May 2025 elections are held today, who will you likely vote for as senator?” 76 percent of the respondents indicated that they would vote for Tulfo. This strong support can be attributed to his previous experience as the Social Welfare secretary, where he demonstrated his commitment to serving the Filipino people.
Following Tulfo in the survey results were Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, with 53 percent of the respondents expressing their preference for him, and former Senate president Vicente “Tito” Sotto 3rd, with 48 percent. These candidates have established themselves as prominent figures in Philippine politics and have garnered significant support from the public.
Other notable candidates in the survey include Senator Ronald “Bato” de la Rosa, who received 47 percent of the respondents’ votes, and Senator Imee Marcos, who garnered 42 percent. These results highlight the diverse range of candidates and the varying levels of support they enjoy among the electorate.
It is important to note that the survey provides a snapshot of the current political landscape and should not be considered a definitive indicator of the outcome of the 2025 senatorial elections. Public opinion can shift over time, and candidates’ positions and campaigns can influence voter preferences.
