The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) recently announced the results of the February 2024 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination in the Philippines. Out of the 6,770 examinees, 4,458 successfully passed the exam, resulting in a passing rate of 65.85 percent.
The top scorer of the examination was Rey Mediana Arcabal, a student from the University of Mindanao-Davao City, who achieved an impressive rating of 93.45 percent. This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication and hard work put in by Arcabal throughout his studies.
Among the participating schools, the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines- CDO secured the first position with a remarkable passing rate of 97.33 percent. The examination took place from February 20 to 22 at various testing centers across the country, including Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, and Zamboanga. This widespread distribution of testing centers allowed aspiring mechanical engineers from different regions to participate in the exam, promoting equal opportunities for all.
