31 People Arrested in Narcotics Cases

The General Department of Narcotics Control has made significant progress in combating drug trafficking and abuse in the country. In a series of 18 cases, 31 individuals of diverse nationalities have been arrested for their involvement in possessing and trafficking a range of narcotics, including shabu, hashish, chemicals, marijuana, and heroin.

The arrests were made following extensive investigations and surveillance conducted by the authorities. The efforts of the General Department of Narcotics Control have resulted in the seizure of 14 kilograms of various narcotics, along with 42,000 pills of psychotropic substances. Additionally, an unlicensed firearm with ammunition and sums of money derived from illicit sales were also confiscated during the operations.

The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Directorate-General of Drugs Control, under the Ministry of Interior, issued a statement regarding the arrests. According to the statement, when confronted with the seized items, the defendants admitted ownership and acknowledged their intent for trafficking and abuse.
