Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Child Affairs, Sheikh Firas Al-Sabah, has expressed his unwavering support for Kuwaiti farmers and emphasized the importance of innovative marketing strategies for local products. The goal is to identify viable points of sale that make it easy for consumers to access these products.

Speaking at the inauguration of the ‘Al-Nuer Market’ exhibition at the Sabah Al-Salem Cooperative Society, the minister praised the high quality of Kuwaiti products showcased by farmers and expressed pride in their offerings.

In a press statement, Minister Al-Sabah highlighted the success of launching market activities for the second consecutive year, crediting former Minister of Social Affairs, Mai Al-Baghli, for initiating this initiative. He emphasized the commitment to promoting and supporting local products.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Ajmi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sabah Al-Salem Cooperative Society, affirmed that the market, organized in collaboration with the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies, will span two days. He emphasized the society’s dedication to providing free booths and advertisements to further support the event.

The ‘Al-Nuer Market’ exhibition, now in its second year, operates under the direct supervision and sponsorship of the Ministry of Social Affairs, without involvement from private sector entities or public benefit associations. Its primary aim is to encourage local farmers and proprietors of various products to showcase the quality of Kuwaiti agricultural and other locally produced goods, including apiaries and dairy.

An integral goal of the exhibition is to establish a direct connection between producers and consumers, benefiting both parties. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Affairs, this initiative enables a direct understanding of the needs and capabilities of each party involved.

It is essential to understand the significance of the ‘Al-Nuer Market’ exhibition in promoting local products and supporting Kuwaiti farmers. By providing a platform for farmers to showcase their high-quality products, the exhibition helps to create awareness among consumers about the availability and benefits of locally produced goods.

Moreover, the exhibition plays a crucial role in fostering direct communication between producers and consumers. This direct connection allows producers to understand the specific needs and preferences of consumers, enabling them to tailor their products accordingly. On the other hand, consumers can gain a deeper understanding of the production processes and the efforts put into creating these local products.

The commitment of the Ministry of Social Affairs to sponsor and supervise the exhibition demonstrates the government’s dedication to supporting and promoting the local agricultural sector. By organizing the event without the involvement of private sector entities or public benefit associations, the ministry ensures that the focus remains solely on the farmers and their products.

Additionally, the collaboration between the Sabah Al-Salem Cooperative Society and the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies highlights the collective efforts to make the exhibition a success. The provision of free booths and advertisements by the society further supports the participating farmers and contributes to the overall growth of the local agricultural industry.

Overall, the ‘Al-Nuer Market’ exhibition serves as a platform for Kuwaiti farmers to showcase their products and connect directly with consumers. Through this initiative, the Ministry of Social Affairs aims to promote the consumption of local products and encourage the growth of the agricultural sector in Kuwait. By supporting local farmers and emphasizing the importance of innovative marketing strategies, the ministry is actively contributing to the development of a sustainable and thriving local economy.
