One of the key achievements mentioned in the report is the remarkable increase in financial revenue collection, which has seen a growth of over 68%. Radio advertisements witnessed a significant rise of 121.3%, while television advertisements experienced a remarkable growth of 207.6%.
The Ministry has also made significant progress in digital transformation initiatives and electronic collection services, with notable increases of 153% and 300%, respectively. Additionally, the Ministry has undertaken several construction projects, completing 21 projects in the (2022-2023) period, including the establishment of four new studios.
The Ministry’s commitment to digital services is evident through the expansion of the government’s “Sahl” application, which now offers four services, including electronic publishing licenses and access rights requests. Furthermore, the report highlights the Ministry’s efforts in expanding revenue collection services, which now encompass 12 services in the (2022-2023) period.
A significant focus of the strategic plan has been on creating high-quality and purposeful content, particularly in the television sector. This has involved a renewal of the visual identity and an enhancement of the type and quality of content published on the Ministry’s social media accounts affiliated with the new media sector. As a result, there has been an increase in viewership rates for Kuwait TV channels and a rise in the number of followers on social media accounts.
The comprehensive report provides detailed explanations, accompanied by illustrations, tables, and numerical data, showcasing the results of implementing the strategic plan through annual operational plans across all ministry sectors. The Ministry has employed internal systems, including quarterly performance cards, to measure achievements and assess progress towards interim goals for each sector. The report also emphasizes the alignment of the strategic plan with the “New Kuwait 2035” vision and its ability to address challenges within the media landscape.
In conclusion, the Ministry of Information’s comprehensive report on the progress of its strategic plan highlights the significant achievements made during the initial two years.
