MANILA, Philippines β€” The country can expect generally-fair weather due to the easterlies as the low pressure area (LPA) off Zamboanga del Norte and the inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) have dissipated, the state weather bureau said on Friday.

Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said it has not monitored any tropical cyclone entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at least over the next three days.

Except for isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, particularly during late afternoon or at night, it would be generally-fair weather in most parts of the country throughout the day caused by the easterly winds.

Easterlies are winds coming from the east that pass through the Pacific Ocean and which carry warm and humid weather to the country, according to Pagasa.

The localized thunderstorms, meanwhile, are affecting Metro Manila and other parts of the archipelago where partly cloudy to overcast skies would prevail within 24 hours, the state-run weather agency said.
