Opening Doors to the Boardroom: A Unique Learning Experience in Entrepreneurship
Go Negosyo Founder and RFM Corp. Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer Jose Ma. “Joey” Concepcion III has taken a bold step in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit among Filipino youth. In a recent initiative called “The Boardroom Experience,” Concepcion opened the doors of his boardroom to select senior high school students, providing them with a unique and immersive learning opportunity in entrepreneurship and business leadership.
The Youthpreneur Program: Empowering the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs
Conducted in partnership with the Department of Education, the Youthpreneur program aims to promote an entrepreneurial mindset, build essential skills through mentorship, and increase financial literacy among Filipino youth. As part of this program, the Boardroom Experience offers students a rare chance to gain firsthand insights from successful business leaders, preparing them for future challenges and opportunities.
Immersive Learning: Stepping into the World of Business
For the students from Raja Soliman Science High School and Rizal High School, this experience goes beyond the confines of a traditional classroom. Within the walls of a real-life boardroom, senior high school students studying in public schools under various strands, including ABM (Accountancy, Business, and Management), STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), TVL (Technical-Vocational Livelihood), and HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences), engage in one-hour sessions that delve into the intricacies of entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation.
Under the guidance of Joey Concepcion himself, these young minds have the opportunity to ask questions, participate in discussions, and gain valuable insights from an experienced business leader. This direct interaction with industry professionals not only enhances their understanding of entrepreneurship but also instills the confidence to present their own business ideas to seasoned businessmen in the future.
Expanding Horizons: Reaching Students Across the Philippines
The Boardroom Experience has been making its mark in various locations across the Philippines since late last year. From Quezon City to Manila, Pasig to Bataan, Baguio City to Mindoro, students from different regions have had the opportunity to step into the world of business and gain a deeper understanding of its intricacies.
Accompanied by their teachers, Rizza Tamayo from Rizal High School and Rociel Dimaculangan from Raja Soliman Science High School, these students have been able to witness firsthand the inner workings of a boardroom, learning from the best in the industry and gaining exposure to real-world business practices.
Nurturing the Entrepreneurial Spirit: The Vision of Go Negosyo
Go Negosyo, the driving force behind this initiative, hopes that through the Boardroom Experience, students will develop an enhanced understanding of entrepreneurship and leadership. By providing direct interaction with business leaders and exposure to real-world business practices, Go Negosyo aims to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit within the younger generation, empowering them to become the business leaders of tomorrow.
With the Youthpreneur program and its Boardroom Experience, Go Negosyo and Joey Concepcion are paving the way for a brighter future, where Filipino youth are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in the world of business.
