The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) is currently conducting a comprehensive investigation into the death of renowned actor Ronaldo Valdez, also known as James Ronald Dulaca Gibbs. Valdez’s lifeless body was discovered on Sunday afternoon in his residence at Casa Nueva Homes, Manga Street, New Manila, Quezon City.
Reports indicate that Valdez was found slumped in a chair, with gunshot wounds in both his right and left temple. He was also found holding a pistol in one hand. The QCPD is diligently working to gather all relevant facts and evidence to determine the cause of Valdez’s death.
“We understand the significance of this matter and are committed to conducting a thorough investigation,” stated Quezon City police chief BGen. Redrico Maranan. “Our priority is to uncover the truth and provide answers to the public.”
The actor’s driver, Angelito Oclarit, was the one who discovered Valdez’s body. Cpt. Adhrin Domingo of the QCPD Scene of the Crime Operatives unit identified the weapon as a caliber .45 Norinco pistol with the serial number 454697. The magazine of the pistol was found empty.
Maranan assured the public that the findings of the investigation will be released once the process is complete. However, he also emphasized the importance of respecting the privacy of Valdez’s family during this difficult time.
“We urge the public to refrain from jumping to conclusions and to honor the family’s request for privacy as they grieve their loss,” Maranan added.
