In his heartfelt Christmas message to the nation, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reminds Filipinos of the genuine meaning of Christmas and urges them to become beacons of hope and light for those in need during this holiday season.

While acknowledging the cherished Filipino traditions of Simbang Gabi, gift-giving, and festive feasts with loved ones, President Marcos emphasizes the importance of living out the true essence of the season.

“Beyond the festivities, let us remember that Christmas holds a deeper significance in reaching out to those who are experiencing solitude, sickness, and poverty,” President Marcos states.

According to the President, the most meaningful form of gift-giving is to spread hope to those who need it the most.

“Let us ignite our hearts with goodwill, kindness, and compassion as we bring joy to our homes and communities. In doing so, we not only promote peace, love, and unity but also embody the timeless adage that God’s work on earth is truly our own,” he affirms.

In a separate video shared on his official social media accounts, President Marcos encourages Filipinos to express gratitude to God for the blessings they have received despite the challenges they have faced. He also emphasizes the importance of giving back by performing acts of kindness towards others.

While expressing optimism about the country’s progress, President Marcos acknowledges that there is still work to be done. He vows to continue pushing forward to achieve his goal of a better life for all Filipinos, with the active participation of every citizen.

“Let us truly experience the essence of Christmas by showing understanding, compassion, and by extending a helping hand to our fellow countrymen. Through these actions, we can be like lanterns, illuminating and bringing joy to one another as we journey towards a progressive ‘Bagong Pilipinas’ (New Philippines),” President Marcos adds.

As the holiday approaches, the President and his family plan to celebrate Christmas in Metro Manila, as announced by Malacañang.

Let President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s heartfelt message serve as a reminder for Filipinos to embrace the true spirit of Christmas, extending love, compassion, and assistance to those in need. Together, as a united nation, we can create a brighter future for all.
