According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the country is expected to have fair weather in the coming days, with the exception of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms. This weather pattern is due to the easterlies, which are winds coming from the east and passing through the Pacific Ocean, carrying warm and humid weather conditions.

Weather specialist Grace Castaneda from PAGASA mentioned that the northeast monsoon, also known as “amihan,” has weakened for now, but there is a possibility of it resurfacing. In the meantime, the easterlies are currently affecting the eastern section of the country.

As a result of this weather system, along with localized thunderstorms, Metro Manila and the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to overcast skies. There may also be isolated downpours or thunderstorms in certain areas.

It’s important to note that weather conditions can vary across different regions and cities within the country. Therefore, it is advisable to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts from reliable sources such as PAGASA or local news outlets.

For residents and visitors in Metro Manila and other affected areas, it is recommended to be prepared for sudden changes in weather conditions. Carry an umbrella or raincoat, and stay informed about any weather advisories or warnings issued by authorities.

In times of rain showers or thunderstorms, it is essential to prioritize safety. Avoid going out if it is not necessary, especially during heavy downpours or when there is a risk of lightning. If you need to travel, exercise caution and be mindful of slippery roads or potential flash floods.

It’s worth noting that weather patterns can be unpredictable, and localized thunderstorms can occur even in areas where fair weather is expected. Therefore, it is always wise to stay vigilant and adapt plans accordingly.

For those planning outdoor activities or events, it is advisable to have contingency plans in case of inclement weather. Consider rescheduling or moving the event indoors if necessary, to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants.

In conclusion, while fair weather is expected in most parts of the country, there is a possibility of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Stay informed, be prepared, and prioritize safety during these weather conditions.
