DoLE Job Fair Offers 30,000 Vacancies

CLOSE to 30,000 vacancies are up for grabs in the 90th anniversary of the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) on Dec. 6, 2023.

Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma announced that the job fair would kick off on December 1 in 21 venues nationwide, with an initial offering of 28,136 vacancies from 340 participating employers.

“I call on jobseekers to take advantage of the employment facilitation service that the DoLE is bringing closer to the public,” Laguesma said.

The job fair will feature various sectors including business process outsourcing, manufacturing, retail and sales, construction, and hospitality. Some of the top vacancies include customer service representatives, production workers/operators, cashiers, baggers, laborers, carpenters, painters, casino dealers, and service crew.

Jobseekers in Luzon can visit the following sites:

  • National Capital Region: Manila Science High School Auditorium, Taft Avenue, Manila (December 1); Barangay Hall, Barangay Poblaci?n, Pateros (December 7); Robinsons Metro East, Pasig City (December 5 for local job fair; December 3 for overseas job fair).
  • Cordillera Administrative Region: Sky Zone, Porta Vaga Mall, Baguio City (December 1)
  • Ilocos Region: Robinsons Place Pangasinan, Calasiao, Pangasinan (December 1); Pangasinan Provincial Capitol, Lingayen, Pangasinan (December 7)
  • Cagayan Valley: SM City Tuguegarao, Bagay Road, Tuguegarao City (December 2)

DoLE advises jobseekers to come prepared with their application requirements, including a resume or curriculum vitae (bring extra copies for multiple job applications), 2 x 2 ID pictures, certificate of employment for those formerly employed, diploma and/or transcript of records, and authenticated birth certificate and training certificates.

The Department of Labor and Employment started as a small bureau in 1908 under the then Department of Commerce and Police. It was constituted as a department under Act 4121 on Dec. 8, 1933.

This year’s anniversary has the theme “DoLE@90: Serbisyong Mabilis at Matapat sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
