The Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief, Persida Rueda-Acosta, has gained significant popularity as a potential candidate for the Senate in the upcoming 2025 midterm elections, according to a recent survey conducted by the Social Weather Station (SWS). The face-to-face survey, conducted from December 8 to 11, 2023, revealed that 82 percent of the respondents were familiar with Acosta.
Among those who recognized her, 47 percent expressed a high level of trust in the PAO chief, while 31 percent remained undecided. Only 13 percent reported having little trust, resulting in a commendable net trust rating of 35. SWS Vice President Gerardo Sandoval further highlighted that Acosta’s awareness ranged from 69 percent to 98 percent across different socio-demographic groups.
