Fahd Al-Shoula, the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications Affairs, has recently issued a decision to amend an item in the list of temporary event tents and their accessories, as reported by Al-Anba Daily. This decision is aimed at streamlining and improving the licensing process for such events, making it easier for organizers to obtain the necessary permits.

The amendments introduced by the decision include the following changes:

Article One: The duration of the license for temporary event tents has been revised. According to the revised regulations, the license shall not exceed one month from the date of its issuance, with the possibility of extending it for three similar periods. This change ensures that organizers have sufficient time to set up and host their events while maintaining the necessary safety standards.

Article Two: The fee for issuing the license and each subsequent extension has been modified. Under the new regulations, an amount of 500 dinars will be collected for issuing the license, and the same amount will be required for each extension of the license. This fee structure aims to cover the administrative costs associated with processing and monitoring these licenses.

Article Three: The decision mandates the relevant authorities to implement the new regulations. It will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into effect from the date of its publication. This ensures that all parties involved are aware of the changes and can comply with the updated requirements.

It is important to note that these amendments were approved by the Municipal Council, following a proposal submitted by Khaled Al-Mutairi, the Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council. The revisions to Ministerial Resolution No. 935/2019 now state that the license for temporary event tents should not exceed a one-month period, extendable for three similar periods. This change reflects the council’s commitment to ensuring the safety and regulation of these events in accordance with established standards and guidelines.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs, responsible for overseeing these regulations, aims to promote safety and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the licensing process for temporary event tents and their associated activities. By setting clear guidelines and requirements, the ministry seeks to create a streamlined process that facilitates the organization of events while ensuring the well-being of attendees.

These amendments also address the financial aspect of obtaining a license for temporary event tents. The fixed fee of 500 dinars for issuing the license and each subsequent extension helps cover the administrative costs involved in processing and monitoring these permits. This fee structure ensures that the necessary resources are allocated to maintain the safety and quality standards expected of such events.

In conclusion, the recent decision by Fahd Al-Shoula, the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications Affairs, to amend the licensing process for temporary event tents is a positive step towards streamlining and enhancing efficiency in organizing these events. With revised regulations that specify the duration of the license and introduce a standardized fee structure, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs aims to promote safety and regulate these events in accordance with established standards and guidelines. These amendments will contribute to a more efficient and effective licensing process, benefiting both organizers and attendees alike.
