Kuwait Ministry of Health’s New Drug Pricing Regulations
In response to recommendations from the Drug Pricing Committee within the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Wahab Al-Awadi, the Minister of Health, has issued a ministerial decision in Kuwait City outlining the pricing structure for medicines and pharmaceutical preparations.This decision includes approving prices for 228 medicines and preparations, along with amendments to 10 drugs and pharmaceutical preparations listed in the attached document. These changes will be integrated into Ministerial Resolution No. 74 of 2023.The decision is part of ongoing efforts to review drug prices periodically and reduce medication costs, aligning with the recommendations of the Ministerial Committee on the Pricing of Medicines and Nutritional Supplements established in 2018.
