In a show of appreciation for the success and talent of women in their respective fields and communities, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) LRT-2 and the Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3) in Manila, Philippines, will be offering free rides to female passengers on March 8th, in celebration of International Women’s Day.
According to announcements posted on their official Facebook pages, female passengers can avail of the free rides during specific time slots. They can board for free from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday. This initiative aims to make commuting more accessible and convenient for women during peak hours.
