Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC)

KNPC was founded in October 1960 as a company that held shares owned by the Kuwaiti government and private sector. In 1975, the government acquired all of the company’s shares. The company had been exporting petroleum products from its Shuaiba Refinery since 1968. One of the oldest oil facilities in the area, the Shuaiba refinery was closed in April 2017. Under this position, KNPC took control of distributing petroleum products within Kuwait, along with the ownership of the Mina Ahmadi and Mina Abdullah refineries.

Burgan Company for Well Drilling, Trading, and Maintenance

Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC)

Founded on February 10, 2002 is the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation’s fully owned subsidiary for offshore oil and gas operations. Kuwait Gulf Oil Company was established with the purpose of representing the government of Kuwait within the Divided Zone. Arabian Oil Company Ltd. was replaced as the offshore area manager of Kuwait DZ by KGOC in 2003.

Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC)

The main operations of Kuwait Oil Tanker Company S.A.K. are the control and operation of tankers used for the conveyance of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), processed petroleum products, and crude oil. It also runs a Marine Agency Branch that serves as the exclusive representative for all tankers stopping at Kuwait’s seaport, as well as a Gas Branch that fills and distributes LPG cylinders for use by the community’s industry and households.

Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC)

On October 18, 2016, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) launched Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) as a new subsidiary. KIPIC’s goal is to be the leader in integrated refining and petrochemicals operations and liquefied natural gas import in Kuwait’s Al-Zour Complex by bringing together some of the best industry knowledge and top-notch infrastructure.
