The Director of the Maintenance of Main Transformers Department at the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, Eng. Nahar Al-Dhafiri, has provided an update on the ongoing maintenance operations at various voltage stations. According to Al-Dhafiri, these operations are progressing as planned and in accordance with the contracts in place.

In an interview with the Al-Anba daily, Al-Dhafiri highlighted that the administration has already completed the preparation of tenders for maintenance contracts beyond the year 2025. These tenders are currently in the process of being tendered to the Central Tenders Committee. This proactive approach ensures that maintenance activities will continue seamlessly in the future.

The department under Al-Dhafiri’s supervision is responsible for overseeing 650 stations, all of which undergo periodic maintenance twice within a five-year period covered by the maintenance contracts. Al-Dhafiri emphasized that radical maintenance has already been carried out at 150 of these stations, including the replacement of equipment. This proactive approach ensures that the stations are in optimal condition and able to provide a reliable power supply.

Furthermore, Al-Dhafiri stressed the importance of having a replacement policy for stations that have reached the end of their lifespan. To address this, the ministry has announced a project to introduce mobile stations during the replacement period. These mobile stations will be used to transfer loads, ensuring the continuity of power supply during the replacement process. This innovative solution demonstrates the ministry’s commitment to providing uninterrupted power supply to consumers.

It is worth noting that the maintenance operations carried out by the ministry are governed by local laws and regulations. These laws ensure that contractors adhere to strict guidelines and standards to maintain the safety and efficiency of the voltage stations. By complying with these regulations, the ministry can guarantee a high level of service to the public.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, under the leadership of Eng. Nahar Al-Dhafiri, is actively engaged in maintaining the main transformers at voltage stations. Through meticulous planning and adherence to contracts, the ministry ensures that maintenance operations are carried out as required. The introduction of mobile stations during the replacement period further demonstrates their commitment to a continuous power supply. With these efforts in place, consumers can have confidence in the reliability of their power source.
