Dr. Luis Ramon Rodriguez, president of the Medical Device Association of the Philippines (MDAP), believes that this event will provide the perfect avenue to learn about the latest trends in pharmaceutical healthcare from other countries.

Scheduled from February 14 to 16, this expo aims to bring together manufacturers, wholesalers, dealers, distributors, and influential decision-makers in the Southeast Asian region. With about 150 exhibitors from India, Indonesia, South Korea, the US, Vietnam, and more than 4,000 visitors expected to attend, the event promises to be a hub of innovation and opportunity.

The primary objective of this expo is to invite international partners to invest in the Philippines. Dr. Jose Santiago, president of the Philippine Hospital Association, emphasizes the need for foreign investment to manufacture equipment that hospitals require and to produce affordable pharmaceutical drugs. By leveraging this event, the country aims to strengthen its medical industry and improve healthcare accessibility.

In addition to showcasing new technologies in the medical industry, the expo will feature a series of conferences where health experts from the Philippines will discuss the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. This highlights the country’s commitment to staying at the forefront of medical advancements and embracing innovative solutions.

The event will take place at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, providing an ideal platform for business opportunities. Organized by UniGlobal and ACE Group in partnership with the Asean India Business Council, the expo aims to foster collaborations and facilitate investment in the Philippine healthcare sector.

Global data suggests that the Philippine pharmaceutical market is poised for substantial growth, projected to reach P241.9 billion by 2025 following the introduction of the Universal Health Care Act. This legislation aims to provide accessible and affordable healthcare for all Filipinos, creating a favorable environment for pharmaceutical companies and investors.

The first Philippine Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Expo is not only a significant milestone for the country’s medical industry but also a testament to its commitment to progress. By inviting international collaboration and investment, the Philippines aims to enhance its healthcare infrastructure, promote technological advancements, and improve the overall well-being of its citizens.

This event serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, where the Philippines can learn from other countries’ best practices and adapt them to its unique context. It also provides an opportunity for international partners to gain insights into the local laws, customs, and regulations that shape the Philippine healthcare landscape.

Ultimately, the first Philippine Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Expo represents a stepping stone towards a brighter future for the country’s medical industry. Through collaboration, innovation, and investment, the Philippines is poised to become a regional leader in healthcare, delivering high-quality and affordable medical solutions to its people.
