MANILA, Philippines: Vice President Sara Duterte expressed her gratitude to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for his assistance in the areas of the Davao Region that were severely affected by flooding and landslides. In a post on her Facebook page, Duterte thanked President Marcos for his support in the entire Davao Region.

President Marcos recently approved the release of P265 million to aid the relief efforts for the affected residents in the region. This financial assistance will go a long way in providing relief and support to those who have been affected by the devastating natural disasters.

Duterte also shared that she participated in the President’s situation briefing on the ongoing floods and landslides in the region. During the briefing, local government officials reported on the extent of the damage caused by the disaster. Various agencies, including the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Office of the Civil Defense, also provided updates on the delivery of aid from the national government to the affected areas and residents.

In light of the recent disasters, Duterte took the opportunity to remind the public of the importance of disaster preparedness. She emphasized that being prepared and taking proactive measures can help prevent tragedies and save lives. The welfare and safety of citizens should always be the top priority.

During President Marcos’ visit to Davao City, Vice President Duterte accompanied him in two significant events. The first event involved the distribution of land electronic titles among agrarian reform beneficiaries. This initiative aims to empower farmers by granting them ownership of the land they cultivate.

The second event was the signing of the Davao Public Transport Modernization Project contracts. This project is expected to enhance the public transportation system in Davao City, providing a more efficient and sustainable means of transportation for its residents.

The collaboration between Vice President Duterte and President Marcos demonstrates their commitment to addressing the needs of the people in the Davao Region. By working together, they aim to uplift the affected communities and improve the overall quality of life for the residents.

The assistance provided by President Marcos and the active involvement of Vice President Duterte highlight the importance of solidarity and cooperation in times of crisis. Their joint efforts serve as a testament to the government’s dedication to serving its people and ensuring their well-being.

As the recovery efforts continue in the flood-affected areas, it is crucial for the government and the community to work hand in hand. By supporting one another and implementing sustainable solutions, they can rebuild and create a more resilient future for the Davao Region.
